Compiled here is a collection of articles, catalogs and patents for all known drain manufacturers in the U.S. dating back to the late 1800s. This includes American Foundry, Barrett, Blake, Boosey, Josam, MIFAB, Smith, Wade, Watts and Zurn.
While Hy-Tech Roof Drains focuses primarily on roof drains and parts, the information provided encompasses the entire plumbing industry. We also offer a brief history on each manufacturer.
It’s interesting to note that many of these manufacturers were involved with each other in the early years of development. This explains the similarity in their designs, which later results in a lot of confusion for replacement parts, primarily because they rarely labeled their parts with numbers or names. Nowadays, most major manufacturers have significantly different designs.
Also, included in this library is a file containing miscellaneous resources that are not directly related to roof drains, but are still relevant information for building and engineering industries. This collection is not complete, and we hope to continue to add to it over the years.
