How to Measure a Josam Roof Drain: Lug-Style Drain Rings
Most roof drains you’ll encounter are secured to a roof deck using bolts. However, Josam roof drains also use lugs—flat tabs located on the drain ring that are clamped down on to lock the drain ring in place.
To measure for a replacement Josam lug-style roof drain, you’ll need to measure from the middle of a lug, 180° across to the middle of the opposite lug.
Do not measure from the edges of the lug, as this will not give you an accurate distance.
