Thank You For Clicking The Teal Ribbon

We’ve added teal ribbons to the Hy-Tech Roof Drains website this month to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Additionally, we will donate 5% of total online roof drain sales in December to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to help fight this disease.

This is a fight that is very personal to me. On June 30, 2012, I lost my wife, Debbie, to ovarian cancer. It was a devastating time in the lives of our family and friends, and one that we are still trying to process.

While, in many ways, I want to block this time period from my memory, I can’t help but fondly think of all the people who helped us through the entire ordeal, from Debbie’s first diagnosis to the months of treatment, and through the eventual grief. I’m not sure we could have gotten through it without the overwhelming love and support of those closest to us.

As you’d expect, the holidays are always tough on our family. So, we thought, what better way to honor Debbie than by doing what we can to help other families facing ovarian cancer.

This is why Hy-Tech will donate 5% of our total December online roof drain sales to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, a great organization dedicated to better diagnosing, treating, and ultimately curing ovarian cancer. My hope is that our contribution can play at least some part in the fight against this disease.
